Facilitating

Are you planning a leadership strategy session, board retreat or yearly goal setting event? Did the last strategy session end with a lot of talk, good ideas but no action? This half-day or full-day session allows an efficient flow of information to be captured; results are defined, KPIs determined, with measurable takeaways for the individual, team, company or group. Follow up coaching is included.

Quality Improvement

Do you have a quality management system? Have you done six sigma and Kaizen projects identifying great opportunity only to have no real change implemented? Do you now have customers requiring ISO / AS certification? Do you need to document your process and procedures or create a quality manual? Do you have non conformances but haven’t documented solutions or risk mitigation? This engagement will work with you to document the quality process and coach the team on effective use of the documented process, driving continuous, sustainable improvement and capturing the gains achieved when solutions are implemented.

Leadership & Supervisor Training

Do your leaders understand the process flow and absolute capacity of their area? Does the team understand current versus potential throughput? Are hourly targets and absolute capacity tracked and are gaps analyzed? Based on our industry experience, re-establishing an understanding of the process, bringing a sense of urgency and accountability to best practices and company policies, focusing the team on communication, corrective action and change brings forth the “right” behaviors. Executive and one-on-one coaching is also offered. The list below is a small sampling of the various training and workshops available.

Online & Outage Performance Consulting

Getting results in the nuclear arena is simple. All of the processes and procedures exist. Re-establishing rigor and accountability to industry standards as identified through INPO and NRC Excellence Standards is the first step. Ineffective T meetings, lack of effective job walk-downs, last minute outage milestone deltas, tagging delays, poor quality work packages and more; result in poor performance in completing work. Elective backlogs, PM’s in grace and deep grace are indicative of this and we have observed this in operating units across the country.

Management Operation System Training

Do you have a management operating system? Do you have more open jobs than qualified candidates? Do you have a consistent system to plan resources, mitigate risks and ensure both quality and on time delivery?

Most companies believe large capital expenditures are needed to increase production and throughput, usually this is NOT the case. MOS coaching is a three-prong approach; 1) defining absolute capacity, gap analysis and remediation, 2) managing by the numbers or KPIs and 3) continuous improvement. Optimizing existing resources can lead to significant improvements. Our collective experience has seen in manufacturing as little as 20% improvement and as much as 65% improvement; in nuclear maintenance as much as 90% improvement and we can validate this. The length of this engagement depends on the company and its goals. Includes resource loading, operational flow, behavior change and team development. Everyone becomes part of the solution.

Safety, 5S, Workplace Organization

A safe, efficient workplace is everyone’s job to maintain. Have you experienced work place injuries or work comp claims in the last 12 months? Do you find team members wandering? Forklift or product movement personnel aren’t where they are needed? The flow of material through the process seems off? An organized and efficiently flowing workplace is almost always “safety first” focused. This type of engagement maps your environment flow (value stream) and determines fine-tuning adjustments that can be made to maximize your work cell efficiency and overall productivity while minimizing lost time and waste.

Other training options are customized based on the individual company’s needs.
